Using Well Optix to Troubleshoot Problems in the Field

Troubleshooting problems. If it seems like the people who last in this business are experts in troubleshooting, that’s probably because it’s true. Of course, the problems we face are hugely complicated by time and distance. If there is a problem with a pump, it could easily be a 2- to 3-hour drive to get to it to figure out the nature of the issue. That’s where SCADA systems, like Well Optix, come in handy. We normally think of SCADA as a great tool for monitoring our pumps, but it can also be a fantastic tool for troubleshooting issues — not just pointing out a problem, but also leading you to the root cause.

In her latest Two-Minute Drives video, Kimberly Farr walks you through a recent example where a customer used Well Optix to uncover a problem before it became a very serious problem. And … they were able to do it without ever leaving their offices.
