Mythbusting: Will a VFD Only Work with Certain Motor Types?

You hear this myth often from manufacturers — you have to buy “our VFD” to match “our motor.” Mostly, you hear it because that manufacturer wants to sell you both the drive and the motor, so they make it seem like your choices are limited. But any advanced VFD, like, say, a SPOC VFD, can be adapted to any motor type.

And doing it is as easy as sweating in the West Texas summer.
